How to download all photos and Reels from an Instagram profile on Mac

Instagram profile downloaders have a rough history: the popular ones either required your Instagram login (and got accounts flagged) or stopped working when Instagram tightened access — which is why 4K Stogram was discontinued in 2025. Stogramable takes a different route: it reads public profiles through a data-access provider, so it never needs your account at all.

Requirements

• Stogramable on an Apple Silicon Mac.
• The profile must be public. No login, no cookies, nothing to get flagged.

1. Add the profile

Add profile → paste instagram.com/username. Stogramable fetches the profile picture and display name.

2. Load posts

Open the profile’s Browse posts screen and click Load / refresh posts. The newest posts appear as cards; carousels show how many items they contain, so you know exactly what you’ll get.

3. Go back through history

Click Load more to page back through older posts. Stogramable remembers where it stopped, so you can continue later without re-fetching what you’ve already seen. When Instagram’s public feed cuts off, the app switches to date-based queries to keep walking backwards.

Reading Instagram costs us a small amount per check, so Pro includes a monthly fair-use allowance. Downloads themselves aren’t counted — only checks.

4. Select and download

Select all loaded or tick individual posts, then Download selected. Every image in a carousel is saved, not just the cover. Videos and Reels are saved as MP4s. Files land in:

~/Pictures/Stogramable/<Display Name | username>/Pictures/
~/Pictures/Stogramable/<Display Name | username>/Reels/

5. Automate it

Turn on daily checks and Stogramable will look for new posts once a day while it’s open, downloading only what you don’t already have.

Honest limits

• “All loaded posts” and “all posts on the profile” are not the same thing. Instagram sometimes exposes fewer posts than the profile counter shows. Stogramable shows what it could reach.
• Stories are not supported.
• Private accounts are not supported and never will be.
